Cowboy Ted is proud of his American Indian Heritage – as well as, being a cowboy. His maternal grandmother was a member of the Algonquin Tribe of Canada
CT grew up on a small ranch in California and had horses and other farm animals. He has been involved with the sport of rodeo for over 25 years as a radio host – print journalist and rodeo announcer. He has covered the National Finals Rodeo – Pro Bull Riders Finals and several Regional Rodeos.
He was a spokesperson for the National Tobacco-Free Rodeo Committee that convinced the Pro Rodeo Cowboys Association to finally drop tobacco sponsors in 2010.
Cowboy Ted has spent most of his life as an educator and started Cowboy Ted’s Foundation for Kids with a goal of touching the lives of one million kids in a healthy and positive way. He’s visited over 250,000 kids.
CT has worked for 12 radio stations in California and Utah including I Heart and RADIO DISNEY in Salt Lake City. His voice has been heard on radio stations all over the United States.
He currently hosts daily Recreation report and healthy Tips for Kids on several Radio Stations and is also host of The Cowboy Ted Show, a video program for kids, that is shown in classrooms, on TV - Face Book – YouTube and several web sites.
Cowboy Ted has been a college instructor in California, Missouri & Utah. He has a Master of Education degree and taught elementary school PE - and college PE along with teaching public speaking and media classes at colleges.
